Imaging M81 Bode's and M82 Cigar Galaxy

After what seems like an eternity, clear skies finally returned to Cyprus. Time to dust off the telescope and get imaging.

Located around 11.74 Million Light Years away in the constellation Ursa Major, these pair of galaxies provide a good sized target to image with the Rasa11.

In this video I also show how my astro skills and equipment have changes as I compare the latest capture with the one I first took of these galaxies 2 years ago, in March 2020 (which was just a few just weeks into this hobby).


The image below was the one from the session, and M81 Bode's Galaxy is on the left, M82 Cigar Galaxy is on the right.
